Fruity Toast

Ingredients6 servings12 servings
Whole grain bread3 slices6 slices
Cottage cheese1/4 cup1/2 cup
Pears, sliced3 cups6 cups
Cinnamon1 Tbsp2 Tbsp
Margarine, soft, trans fat free1/2 tsp1 tsp

Preheat oven to 375°F.


Spread one side of bread with margarine. Put in baking pan with margarine side face down.



Spoon cottage cheese on bread. Sprinkle cinnamon on top.



Bake until bread turns brown on bottom (about 10 minutes).


Cut toast in half and top each half with 1/2 cup pears.


Food for Thought: Add any type of fruit in season to make this a healthy, fun breakfast all year 'round. Cinnamon is a nice way to add flavor without adding sugar.
